INFORMATION FOR ALASKA’S VETERINARIANS

ACV50081

To Alaska’s Veterinarians: We hope 100% of you will participate in STOP’s program. Although we would prefer if you would offer a discounted rate in support of our mission to end pet overpopulation in Alaska and to STOP the euthanasia of healthy, adoptable pets at Alaska’s animal controls, it is not necessary that you do so.

All that we need is for you to fill out the Veterinarian Participation Form below and e-mail or mail it to STOP. Then you just need to bill us monthly for the amount on the vouchers that we send to pet owners; we pay you directly. Please participate! It will help animals, and the paperwork is very minimal (we have created a Monthly Billing Form for you to use; you can handwrite the information if preferred and mail it with the used vouchers). We pay immediately upon receiving bills from veterinarians.

More information on our program is included at the bottom of this page, or you can email or call us.

STOP is a nonprofit organization, all-volunteer, with 501(c)(3) status from the Internal Revenue Service. Formed in 2001, we pay $20-$40 toward spaying and neutering of pets in order to reduce the number of dogs and cats that are killed at Alaska’s animal control shelters. We raise money for the program through fundraisers, donations, memberships to the organization, PFD donations, and grants.

Since October 2002, pet owners have used 4,500 vouchers at Alaska’s veterinary clinics! It costs the veterinarian nothing, and it helps save lives! Please join us in our mission of eliminating pet overpopulation in Alaska. Many of our clients would like to use their own veterinarian for the program.

We would like to include your clinic in our list of participating veterinarians, and we hope that you will mail or email the veterinarian participation form (link above) to us right away. All we need is the form returned to us, and your agreement to bill us for the amount on the voucher (the client pays the balance). Our vouchers pay $20 (male cat), $30 (female cat and male dog) and $40 (female dog). Please note that we pay all bills immediately upon receiving them. Your paperwork should be minimal; most veterinarian offices send a hand written form once a month that lists the voucher number, client name, amount on the voucher that STOP is responsible for, and the total amount due for all vouchers that month.
